Democratization of the smart home

IKEA Home smart ecosystem includes hardware and software. Hardware consists of lights, blinds, remotes, shortcut buttons, power outlets, air purifiers, IKEA x Sonos speakers, motion sensors, and gateway. IKEA Home smart app enables users to control all products via gateway.

Guided by IKEA culture and values and Democratic Design, the UX team at IKEA Home smart is focused on creating a seamless experience across physical and digital products. As acting UX Leader, I am focused on the ecosystem in total where, together with humble and amazing users, researchers, UX designers, visual designers, product owners, engineers, we are designing a holistic experience for a better everyday life for the many people.
