Leading Acquire design team
As Lead Product Designer, alongside with the Head of Product, Lead Researcher, and Tech Lead, I was responsible for experience of acquiring and onboarding users in most European countries. Our cross-functional team of designers, researchers, and software developers were creating a website and mobile app as part of the user journey. One of the most challenging aspects was that each country had different legal requirements for opening a banking account, so we had to come up with different solutions and collaborate with external partners. In addition, my responsibility was the professional development of the members of the design team.
The Dark Mode & Color System
Dark Mode was a commonly requested feature from our users and leading design for the whole product that will affect millions of customers was a very challenging task. But it was a type of challenge I like to tackle. What made this task easy, is a group of 50 tireless amazing professionals who worked on implementing this feature in a short time span. The story goes something like this:
“Dark Mode was in N26 mind for quite some time. However, when we first started working on it we just didn’t have the needed framework to make it happen quickly. Both the Android and iOS apps had no reliable design framework which allowed us to have that flexibility.”
